My Superfood Breakfast Smoothie

photo This morning, after my favorite workout ever – Pilates SPX, if curious – I was craving a refreshing and tart smoothie. Walking in the door, I went straight to the fridge, pulled out a basket of fresh organic strawberries, and a jar filled my some fresh almond milk I just made (almond Milk recipe coming up soon). I rinsed off the strawberries, and dumped them in the Vitamix, yep, green stems and all, poured in the almond milk, added chia seeds, cinnamon and ice. I got exactly what I have been craving and kept me going all morning long! Here’s the recipe:

1 pint Organic Strawberries
16 oz. Almond Milk
1 tablespoon Chia Seeds
dash Cinnamon
1 cup ice
optional, Stevia extract for a bit more sweetness
